This sounds like you are trying to define the R and S inputs of a bistable multivibrator. One input is the "set" input (S), the other is the "reset" input (R). The ouputs are usually called Q and Q'. When the S input is triggered, Q is "high" (1) and Q' is low (0). Additional trigger on S will have no effect. From this state, a trigger on the R input resets the outputs to Q = low and Q' = high.
