Dough: Flour, Water, Yeast, Salt, Sugar and Olive Oil
Topping: Basil, Mozzerella Cheeze, Tomatoes
This is for the original classic Margharita pizza created for the then Queen of Italy. If you notice the topping has the three colors of the Italian Flag, Green, White and Red. Buon Appittito!

The base of the pizza is made up of refined flour..which is kneaded into the base and then rolled into a flat base like a pancake. This is then baked in an oven alongwith a host of toppings. Before baking it,the base of the pizza is covered with a tomato-based sauce, and then topped up with various stuff,like-bell peppers, tomatoes, prawns, mushrooms, onions, black olives, broccoli, eggplant, beef, chicken, tuna(I think so!Not sure as am vegetarian!!) and then once this is done, it is further topped up with cheese...Mostly mozzarella, parmesan, cheddar, etc. Actually choice of toppings, depends on one's imagination..and you can top up a pizza with almost anything and everything. Then this whole thing is popped into the oven and baked for a while.
Now it is ready to eat!!

Usually, very thin dough covered with bit of herbed tomato sauce and topped with cheese. Most anything can be added as additional toppings. Most any combination of thin (up to about an inch) crust topped with a sauce and other ingredients, then baked can get labeled pizza....
