Ok you call yourself a christian, but aren't christians supposed to be good people. I am not blaming everyone but just a bunch of assholes on this site. Ok, so if you are a christian why are you going around bashing other religions? HMMM!!?? It is not right, I don't, and I'm not even christian. It is just out of respect.

Oh by the way it is pretty sad for a 14 year old girl like me to be having to ask grown up adults what is wrong with them!

I think some of you are mistaken. I have actually tested out some of the religions. Such as christianity, wicca, and some others I'm not sure what they are called. But I have always had an open mind with religion. I am not mouthy either I am just speaking the truth and if you can't take it fine.

Just want to say thank you for proving parents need to start teaching morals and values to there children more these days. If I had said what you said or even typed towards an adult when I was your age I wouldn't be able to sit for a month ( and I'm not that old).
But you are correct for being angry.Christians aren't the only ones doing the bashing there just the one that gets the most flack for it when they do. They are suppose to live up to a higher standard because they are christians but everyone forgets they are people to.And there are alot that need to rethink there approach to spreading Gods message anger and hate are not the way.
Even though I think your answer came out completely rude I think it does have merit It would have had more if it was asked differently though.

I agree that bashing or blaming anyone is not going to get anyone anywhere. I can appreciate your not bashing religions and having respect for individuals. That is the right thing to do.

Please keep in mind that no one is perfect. Becoming a Christian means that you have accepted Christ, not that you will be able to be perfect fro that moment on. We should strive to be - but we will never make it. We are much too human. Some people are more tactful than others - and let's face it - some people just stick their feet in their mouths more often than others.

Please think about being careful about calling names, though. I'm afraid all that might do is reflect badly on you, and I know that your intentions are good.

I really appreciate the sensitivity you obviously have for the feelings of others. May you use that gift to do great and thoughtful things.

Take care, my young friend.

Once you live a little a see the direness of the situation, you will understand. All men who have not accepted Christ as their savior WILL go to hell. It's the truth, and "us Christians" know it. We know that all the other religions around the world are wrong, because we are the only religion that worships a living God that we can communicate with successfully. I am not standing up for or justifying the "asshole" Christians you speak of, but it does go both ways. Every time I post a question about the bible, and label it "Christians only please", i always get three or four responses saying "don't believe in the bible, it's a lie" or someone will tell me to convert. Read some of the Christian only posts and answers, and you will see what I am talking about. I even posted on the subject a while ago. Please feel free to read it.

God bless you and your family.

You are completely right! You don't see any Wiccans going on a post about Christianity and writing something foul, but you do see this on posts about Wicca and other religions, they bash these religions and then say go to God, the Christian God. Why would someone want to be Christian with so much hatred involved in it? I am glad someone finally said this!

Love is telling the truth. I have love for my enemies and would I show love by not telling them the truth? Denial of Jesus sends you to hell, so if someone I see is believing false information should I say something or nothing if they are on my path? That is like ignoring someone dying on the street because you dont want to bother them or cause any problems. I havent seen any bashing by Christians so perhaps you might try the teen sites and let the grown ups talk... Thank you for your question and God bless you.

A true Christian, is someone saved by grace, NOT by being good, or obeying a set of laws. The bible clearly says in Romans 3:20 plainly says, "For by the deeds of the law shall NO man be justified."
So it isn't how good we are, it is whether or not we have put our faith in Jesus to save us from God's wrath on judgment day.
As for the bashing. Some people do it out of hate, and that is not a christian attitude at all. Paul said we have no right to judge those outside the church.
But there are people like me, who when they find out that someone is of a certain religion (like say satanist or buddhist etc), I try to influence them into getting saved., for the plain and simple reason I dont want to see them go to hell.
I've even prayed for some of my worst enemies.

A lot of people hide behind the title of "Christian." They think that just because they have that little sign above their head that they can get away with murder. Sometimes people bash what they don't understand. There's a lot of that in the horse world. But let's face it. No one is perfect. We're all just fallible humans at best, and humans are good at hating and holding grudges, so it's probably not going to change any time soon.

I'm a Christian and go to a Baptist Church. I take the Bible as being the truth. I think if it's not in the Bible, it's wrong as far as religion goes.

That being said, I wouldn't be rude to anyone about their religion. If someone asks me what I think, I tell them, as tactfully as possible. If a Muslim, for instance, was to ask me about the Quran, I would tell him I don't know much about it (which I don't) but it sounds like alot of it is wrong. That's my opinion and he asked. Now if he didn't ask, and I just blast away, that's different all-together.

Being a Christian you are supposed to be good to people, but you are also supposed to spread the Word. Sure, some do it rudely, and that's wrong, but we are supposed to 'try' to spread His word.

Hope this makes sense!!

My friend many religions show much hypocrisy, To be a true Christian one needs to live the words of christ. Now look and you will see most Christians hypocrites. Yes you are wise for 14 but as a person whom knows beware of your own wisdom. Always think always consider that you may be wrong. This is most Christians fault they think they are right, Well it is the blind being lead by the blind.

Actually the bible does claim exclusivity... ie it says other religions are wrong. So does the Koran. And (i am not sure) the jewish religion is the same.

There are only a few religions that (in their books) preach religious tolerance. Infact I can only think of asian religions such as Buddhism that do this.
