I've always wondered that too. I've also always wondered if crippled people walk in their dreams. I think, however, that your subconscious reflects your reality in a way and that you would only be able to see what you already know so I don't think a blind person would dream like you and me because he/she simply wouldn't know what things look like in the real world. So what I'm thinking is that if someone has been blind for all of their lives, they would only have auditory dreams. If someone was once able to see, even slightly, they'd probably be able to see some colors, hues and shapes or even memories of things they once have seen.

well I cant answer for blind ppl. but some havent always ben blind. And for me there is so much more to my dreams than just what I see. I Feel emotion more than anything and smells and the way something feels. If you train your self your dreams can be more than just a way for your body to relive stress.

Yes they do dream. It depends on how they were blind- If they were blind since birth and have no idea what colors, light, etc. looks like, they have dreams involving other senses, such as audio dreams with senses of touch, smell, etc. If they were able to see at one point in their life, they can have visual dreams as well.

A dynamite question that I wish I could answer. I have heard rumors that the blind have dreams just like sighted folks, but I can't substantiate this. Sorry.

yes, they do dream...they dream about their vision from their touch/smell/hearing and their mind's creativity...bear in mind that some blind people don't get blind from birth. these people will still be able to dream in colours and shapes.

Good question. I don't know what they would see, probably just colors and stuff. But then that raises the question, could they make a color without ever seeing any?

If they ever were "sighted"---then yes, they will be able to have dreams just as vivid, and colorful as people with vision.
