Some days its jealousy and others its territorial. Try giving each their own space. Like a bed or window perch, different bowls, etc. Never pet one and then the other. they see this as infringement on their time. Wait a little bit then cuddle with the other, making sure tell the other one it's not their turn if they come up. Plus a little tuna oil behind each ear so they can clean each other is OK.

Actually, this is very common. My friend has 5 female cats three of them can be together. The other two have to be kept separate... meaning even from each other.
Cats are very territorial. I wish I knew of a way that they would get along with each other, but I don't. The only thing you have to do, is to keep your cats apart, you don't want them to fight and get harmed while you are not home.
I know for a fact that my friends cats, want to kill each other, they are waiting for the one that is locked into another room, to be "accidentally" let out for the others to attack her.
It's so sad.

I'm really not sure why everybody's cats be fightin' lol. I have two cats and they are like best friends. They play fight, but nothing more than that. One is a boy and the other is a girl though, so that might make a difference. Nonetheless, I've always had at least two animals at one time, and they always got along.

It may not be as much a territorial thing as a dominant thing. A cat can be like a Pit Bull dog. Put them around other cats and they naturally want to challenge and fight the other animals. It may also have to do with the way a cat was trained. Did you play rough with it as a kitten-this may be all it knows. It is impossible to put my cat around other cats-he always wants to fight them. Either way, cats can usually defend themselves fine when they fight. If your cat ends up bleeding or worse, you may want to split them up make some new arrangements.

I have 4 cats, 3 female and 1 male(all fixed)...none of them ever fight seriously, the ones that dont really like eachother just avoid one another the rest play together. I think you should just give your cats more time to get used to one another... sometimes it takes a couple months...

I have two females that at best tolerate each other. They will often attack one another for seemingly no reason. They usually try and keep their distance, each will stay in a different room. When they fight we yell at them or spray them with a water bottle to get them to stop. When one looks like she is about to go after the other all we have to do is show them the bottle and that usually deters them.
