Moderate drinking is less then 4 drinks on an outing or gathering, alone drinking is bad and if you have more than 4 at any given time it is considered binging.. Daily drinking is not an idea i would tend to agree with because i am a reformed alcohlic but some can handle it and not surpass the one a day, unusual if you don't increase your tolerance for the substance and more will surpass it because what is call the THQ factor in the brain, once it is in there it has the need to require more and more , that is why alcoholism is a progressive diease.. the THQ needs to be satisfited to once a drink has been ingested.. best advice is don't drink at all.. i did and lost the world i works my whole life to earn.. didn't take long either, and i am still paying for it,, good luck and stay safe, i will pray for you..

1-2 drinks a day but no more than 4 times a week. Though some will say just wine with dinner but no other drinking and only 1 glass at that.

I think it all depends on how alcohol affects you. Guys can drink more than women usually can. Your height and weight also affect how much you can drink. If your on medication and you change your prescription up or down it could also really affect you. Some people can't drink at all. Never drink on an empty stomach if you are trying to drink in moderation.

Half a bottle of red wine a day is reasonable. A bottle is around 6 glasses, so a glass of wine with lunch and two with dinner makes half a bottle.
Sunday might start with smoked salmon and scrambled egg with chilled Champagne and fresh orange juice, so the score is slightly higher on a Sunday.
read "John Barleycorn" by Jack London for a description of a dependent drinker.

i'd say 5-6 drinks in a day is fine, as long as it isn't in 5 mintues and spread out over some time

one or two a day is moderate. and you enjoy it with a meal, not by itself and you drink socially not by yourself. otherwise, you are becoming heavy and an alcoholic even with one.
