I don't mean this to be antagonistic, I really am curious.

I'd really like an example, if you have one to offer.

not so good. to publicly profess to be a Christian and then to not be very good at turning the other cheek----i'm pretty ashamed of myself for that.

I catch myself telling people, "Don't make me angry---you won't like me when I'm angry." I sound more like David Banner than Jesus Christ.

I dont always do it. Sometimes I deck people. When people quote that scripture, they leave out two important facts. The bible says that Jesus said "I've not come to cancel the law , but to fulfill it. In saying that, he says that what is taught in the old testament is still applying in the new, thus, where it says there is a time for peace, it also says there is a time for war.
And remember, Jesus beat and ran out the people in the market. So turning the other cheek is only done at certain times

I dont get revenge, God is the one who gets vengence. So sometimes things are not fair...perhaps people will notice that hate and abuse from people doesnt steal my joy and that the Christians are different. Im not going to stand around to be hurt over and over but when I am persecuted I always hope it has opened someones eyes to the wickeness of some people full of pride and hate and that despite it I have desire to get up and keep on doings Gods will for me.

First I lift one cheeck... squeek!
Then turn to the other cheek... & SBD

Trained as an MP & a martial artist for 20 yrs... I never let them get to the first cheek to begin with...

I have grown cynical of people & the thought of do undo others as you would have done unto you!

I say, if you try I will do unto you first!

Well, I thought I was pretty good until My cheeks got too darn bruised.
sometimes i take it all in stride , but then beat myself up over it rather than have hurt feelings with others. that's not a good thing either. If a real good survey(honest answers) were taken, we probably would find all have a big problem with your question.
That is if we were all honest with our answers to your question.

At school, it hard to get your point across when 99.99% of the room is Christian. Its like you become a steak in a room full of starved pitbulls. But, i can do it sometimes.
