It means technololy is being used to solve the same problems they have been solving for thousands of years. No matter how much we advance as a people, the same problems persist.

It means that no matter what changes occur in the world, there are still people here, and some things never change. Like war, famine, disease, greed, and other things. When you talk about the human condition, no amount of changes in the state of the world will have any effect on them. Advances in technology do nothing to change the basics of human nature.

The only thing that is constant is change!
When things change, they have a way of maintaining a balance of the past & the future for those around during its inception. Just because something changes, doesn't mean that it is different!
I cut my hair today, but I still the same individual!

i agree with what most others have said, things seem to change, time certainly does, but some things are forever...like love, and others believe, diamonds...
but then, you'd also think that with changing technology that we as a human race are making progress but then new problems arise, a child at a school where they primarily use laptops, will still forget his or her homework and instead of claiming the dog ate it (when they aint done it) they'd claim, they ran outta disk space! same crap, different era.
There are things in life which are better, nicer and more comfortable, but we as humans still allow baseness to hinder our progress, such as forgetting to be charitable to those less fortunate than ourselves...oh well, i think u get wot i'm saying, take care, Best wishes, Whizzdom

It basically means that there is nothing really new that happens. Things change, but in the big picture, nothing different has really happened.
Wars, crime, life, love--it's all cyclical, going around and around in a circle. Just because it happens in a different way doesn't really make it new? You dig?

Another way of saying it is--what goes around comes around. We are just going around in circles.
