I think Allison is a nice name, does bring back memories of a few Allison's I've liked quite a few years ago :D

It's definately a feminine name, so I don't recommend calling any son's it!

I think the only problem with it is spelling wise. People will often try to spell it as "Alison" or something similar.

I knew an Allison in elementary school.

Back then I thought it was kind of weird. Alice in... what? Wonderland?

Yes. But when I was a kid this girl named Allison called me a "Dog killer" after we had to put our dog to sleep....I don't like her, but I like her name.
