I see it as "Why not..."
Because God offers your eternity in Heaven, He offers forgiveness, Wholeness, Plus so much more
Would you rather go to hell? Hell, where a man begged for one drop ONE DROP of water.
Gods good for the soul. =)

Christianity is the only "holy" book which contains prophecies which have come true. Science validates christianity all the time. Evolutionists would disagree but there are a growing amount of scientists frustrated with the theory of evolution.
A couple of interesting things...in the Book of Job, it says that the earth is a ball suspended in nothing. How did they know that 4000 years ago? A sailor read in the Psalms about the "pathway of the sea's" - this person then charted the worlds great current streams in the oceans.
Then you have things like ELS - codes in the bible. In the old testament where you have prophecies about the Messiah, ELS discovers that it names Jesus as the MEssiah. The odds of this happening randomly are simply not on.
Another captivating thought is the fact that Jews are back in their homeland. The bible has predicted this for more than 2000 years.
And finally I just know what christianity has done for my life. Even if there was nothing else, I can hold on to that.

Christianity was where I ended up after a long search for the truth. After seeking out many truths, ideas, religions, philosophies, etc, christianity fit perfectly with the way the universe seemed to be set up.
Since becoming a christian, I have since become a misisonary to Asia, where I have seen many miracles, which I know God has done, I feel completely confident that this is where I'm supposed to be, and there's the added peace of mind that there is something to look forward to after you die.
All in all, God really showed himself to me in a very real way and continues to do so every day!

It isn't. First of all, spirits don't exist. You have your mind. Is Christianity good for you mind? Probably not. It's based on the idea that you have to spend your whole "eternal" life being a slave to God without any free will because if you don't go along with him, he's going to kill you! Or at least, he will give you a really bad butt spanking!
So, living your life in fear is no good way to live at all. And if Christians try to claim they don't live by fear, just read the Bible. It literally says "The fear of God is the path to wisdom." What a nice God it is, that makes us and then threatens us with pain? If God is the source of all things, then he is the source of pain, suffering and certainly Satan.
To have a good clear mind, you should spend time in deep thought and really consider all the things in your life and the world. That's the best way to live "spiritually."

you mean like put the Bible down & explain in my own words why i chose Christianity? cool, i can do that.
as a historical figure, Jesus was a bad brother! as a matter of fact, he could very well be considered "New Age" for his time. he took the Mosaic law & made it simple, palatable for even the layperson. he made access to his Father accessible, as opposed to this lofty omipresence reigning vindication on all of humanity, which was what the clergy of his time ascribed to.
Jesus was a revolutionary - he was not afraid to think or act outside of the box...he believed in paying what was due to whom it was due, & yet he remained neutral to the political machine.
he fed the homeless, hung out with whores & tax collectors & everyday folks - & he gave them hope. raising his hand in violence to another human being, shunning someone because they believed something different than him, or denying someone in need was not his forte'.
He loved children & never shunned them. in spite of the fact that he was born to a royal birth line, he lived an humble, simple life.
when he received his annointing from heaven - he got real clear about what he was here to do, & was willing to do the will of the One that sent him right unto death. he stayed the path & stayed the course, despite ridicule, bodily harm & threat of death.
that's someone i want to emmulate. he was an awesome human being - so much so that even time is measured by his existance. doesn't A.D. stand for 'In the Year of Our Lord"; B.C stands for "Before Christ", etc.
now i know that there are some naysayers that question the existance of Jesus Christ - & that's alright - i ain't gotta answer to the Most High for you, give thanks. but you gotta admit, be he truth or fiction, no single person has left such an impact on humanity as Jesus the Christ.
now is that a bad brother, or what?

We were brought up in church. We still attend now, my husband and I. We are Baptist. I have never wondered that before. Even now, I do not question it. Being a Christian means you are like Christ. I know that God saved me and that I'm going to heaven, but I really don't see myself as a Christian. Maybe in today's standards yes, but I am nothing like Christ. I sin everyday, whether I mean to or not. Christ never sinned. I really don't have an answer to your question because Christianity has always been part of my life. I have believed for 20years. Maybe you should get a copy of a King James Version Bible and see for yourself. I know that the only God there is is watching over me and my family and that is a good feeling. I know that one day, I will be with Him and that is an even better feeling.

First I want to be clear that I'm a Christian. But I'm also open minded. I believe different religions are just different roads that lead to the same destination. I'm not familiar with a lot of different religions and what they preach. But if you have a religion that focuses on the good in yourself and others. Preaches against evil, misdeeds and so on, I say go for it. Just make sure you find something positive to strengthen yourself and surround yourself with light. Everyone needs a compus to get and stay centered.

You can find spirituality in many forms or religion. What you need to know is that there is a meaning to your life and God has a plan for you. Christianity is the most loving and free religions that exists. When you feel comfort and purpose in your spirituality you will know.

Christianity gives you a wonderful foundation and guideline to live your life by. God gave his only begotten son to die on the cross and spill his blood for us to wash us clean and forgive us of our sins. If you dont have something in your life it can always feel so empty and then we alway search. So many of us are sucked in by TV, advertisements etc and you get on a treadmill of wanting more and more which often leads to feeling unworthy because we cannot afford it which ultimately leads to depression and then often drugs to get through the next day. As a christian you learn to live without all of this because ultimately it is about accepting one another without all your warts and bumps and to love one another unconditionally without judgements. Unfortunately not all christians live the truth that God expects of us and this ultimately puts people off Christianity. A true christian is about acceptance, love, commitment to helping others.

How ought to they be able to educate the bones they got here upon are in reality Jesus's? What are you evaluating the DNA to? anyhow, it does no longer substitute the face of Christianity as an entire, considering that they don't look to be merely "discoveries", they're discoveries accompanied with suggestions from theories so there is not any "evidence." the actual incontrovertible reality that it ought to contradict the already prevalent recognize God proves to the actual Christian any "discoveries" or crack-pot theories stay incorrect and hence the religion will stay intact.

as apposed to what going to hell, or believing in Buddha,or Scientology's,what is so wrong with being a christian, for there to be so much controversy about Christians, i guess you need to step back and look at the big picture, something must be right with it are it would be the most talked about subject since the beginning of time, this is the oldest subject every and people seem to cant get enough of it, so there's something there, and i glad I'm a part of it and one day i will see what it all about
