Are you female? Having different sexual partners can cause them more frequently. or if you have one partner but he has sex with other girls, then with you, that can cause them too.

Plenty of water and cranberry juice is good. It is also important to have friendly bacteria living in there - touch the surface of some plain yogurt (with active cultures) with a clean finger or cotton swab and swab it around a bit, especially near the urethra (if this leads to other things...so be it =) No need to use a visible amount, just touching it transfers bazillions of bacteria.

I agree, though, the important thing is to see another doctor or check out Planned Parenthood or another womens health clinic. There are STD's that can cause this and it is nothing to take lightly.

Urinary infection is curable unless it is associated with other major symptoms like internal malignancy etc. A full course of antibiotics would have been cured this problem. I advise you to consult a doctor and get ultra sono test of kidneys and urinary bladder etc. Your sex-life may also be the cause and better have a check of it. Nothing to be feared. You are still young and capable of resisting. Proper curative measures would keep you healthy. Don't worry. May God bless you!

better go to a new doctor - you could have a problem with your kidneys - repeat UTIs can be a sign of a kidney problem. Don't mess around with herbs and stuff which can have side effects. Drink cranberry juice and at the drugtore they sell AZO cranberry pills that are all natural but get to a new dr asap.

Well it sounds like your infection has built up a tolerance to the antibiotics. You need to find a new doctor and explain to them everything. Find one that speaks your first, primary language because it sounds like there could be a language barrier, problem. Try drinking cranberry juice and lots of water.

Have you tried drinking lots of cranberry juice? It might not taste very good, but you can get it mixed with different juices. It's supposed to help with that. Might be worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet. I think drinking lots of fluids (esp. cranberry juice) would work better than pills as it would flush your system.

Oh, here's a very good page that offers a lot of suggestions as to why you may have it and also how to try to get rid of it.

Well...some people develop urinary infections EVERYTIME they have sex. Do you think it may be that? It could be that you have some kind of lifestyle that causes it...you're allergic to latex, sex causes it or maybe something else. I would think about that and see a different doctor - and discuss this.

You might have something far more serious than what they are telling you. IF I were you, I would go to several different doctors to find out what is going on or get some counseling as to how to remedy your issue.

If it's not cured from cranberry and homeopathic medicines or herbs its something need to be taken seriously. It might need a more thorough exam by an expert urologist. she/he might recommend stronger antibiotics, or certain preventions, or worst a surgery if something need to be fixed with tubing there.
