I have my engagement party coming up, and I want it to be really nice

Hot Crabmeat Dip

Ingredients:
2 8 oz (224 grm). packages of cream cheese
1 8 oz (224 grm). package of crab flakes
2 tbsp (30 ml). finely chopped onion
4 to 5 drops of hot pepper sauce
l tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp (15 ml). horseradish
1/4 cup (60 ml) finely chopped walnuts
paprika

Instructions:
Stir the cream cheese until slightly softened
Blend in remaining ingredients except walnuts and paprika
Spread mixture in a 9 inch pie plate.
Top with walnuts and paprika.
Bake uncovered at 375 degrees (200 C.) for 25 minutes until lightly browned.
Serve with crackers.

Fruit Punch Recipe

1 large can pineapple juice
8 oz lemon juice
2 bottles gingerale
8 oz jar Zarex fruit punch syrup
sherbert (I use the rainbow variety)

Mix all liquids together in punch bowl, add globs of sherbert to chill.

Fruit Punch:Serve 40
3 qt. Orange Juice, 2 qt. Pineapple Juice, 2 Liter Lemon-Lime Soda, 1/2 Cup of Grenadine Syrup or 1/2 oz of Cherry Juice., 4 Cups of Ice Cubes. 2 each of Orange, Lemon, & Lime Slices.

Hot Crabmeat Dip: Serve 50 or more.
16 ounces cream cheese
2 stick butter
2 pound crabmeat
Tabasco pepper sauce to taste
Lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:
Melt cream cheese and butter over medium heat in sauce pan. Add crabmeat and season with Tabasco. A little lemon juice may be added. Serve warm or at room temperature on crackers or Melba rounds.

Crab and Artichoke Dip Recipe

2 cups chopped shallots
1/2 cup chopped garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces chopped artichoke hearts
8 ounces Dungenesss crab meat
4 cups spinach (frozen defrosted and squeezed dry)
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (add less if desired)
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup shredded asiago cheese
dash of freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup bread crumbs

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Saute shallots and garlic in olive oil until caramelized. Add the artichokes and crab, and saute. Add spinach, cream, crushed red pepper, tomatoes, and cheese. Stir. Let it simmer then puree mixture. Place in casserole dishes and top with bread crumbs. Bake for 7 minutes.

Fruit Punch Recipe

2 (6-ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 (6-ounce) cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 (48-ounce) can pineapple juice
3 cups water
3 cups sugar
2 pints strawberries, hulled
1 (1-liter) bottle lemon-lime soda (recommended: Sprite)

Combine the orange juice, lemonade, and pineapple juice and stir well.
Bring 3 cups water and the sugar to a boil in a heavy saucepan and boil until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Let cool. Add the syrup to the fruit juices.

Place the whole strawberries into a ring mold. Pour in enough fruit juice to fill the mold. Freeze. Refrigerate the remaining juice.

When ready to serve, pour the fruit juice into a punch bowl and add the soda. Float the strawberry ice ring in the punch.

Spike with rum, vodka or bourbon to taste.
