I moved in with my sister for a little while. I spent most of my days working on my book or putting in job applications online. With the rest of my day I was dealing with her kids because she was never home. She spent her days chasing men and money. Then all of a sudden she packs up all of my things and hauls it all to Louisiana, where I happen to be with her kids. She was still here in Ft. Worth living it up. She didn't tell me anything at all. Just packed my things and threw me out. I still don't know why. I don't think that was right, because I spent all day everyday with her kids screaming in my ears while she was out doing "whatever". I asked to stay until my book was published, and she said fine. Which it now is. I was not even at her place for 6 months. Then I took her kids to visit our mother, and she comes to meet us with all of my things in truck. No explainations, no cursing, no nothing.

It was rude of your sister to pack up your belongings and ship them off without saying anything first. With that said, if she felt that you were not keeping up your end of the bargain (for whatever reason), she may have come to resent your being there. Unfortunately, she made the mistake of not talking things out with you, which leaves you feeling hurt and angry.

It sounds to me like you are better off not being her free babysitter any longer. She sounds like an irresponsible mother and a mean sister. Be glad that you are out of there.

It would have been nice for her to ask you to move on if she was uncomfortable with the arrangements. Is it possible she is jealous your book is being published? Sometimes, it seems like some of us got the short end of the stick when it comes to family. Sorry your sister did that to you. If it's any consolation, my sister agreed to donate blood for me but only if I paid her $50/pint and sent a limo to drive her to/from the hospital. Congratulations on your book deal.

take responsibility of your rights...even if she is a sister..you don't have to hate her...but respect her...but in the end don't let her break your rights as an individual.

good luck!
