Congratulations on your decision to follow Christ! The next part, naturally, is to be part of a church fellowship, and get to know Jesus better. I would ask for assistance from a seasoned believer to assist you in discipleship. This is so you will know the basics of what we believe.
Prayer is mighty important. Just as you want to talk with your friends, it is just as important to talk with God. Ask Him to guide you and to recognize opportunities that He gives you to serve Him.
Read your Bible, especially the New Testament, so you get to know Jesus better. I recommend the Gospel of John first, and the the book right after that, Acts.
May the Lord guide you in these new steps of faith, and may your faith grow string every day!

Oh my, have I ever been where you are! I have a few thoughts for you.
As you listen, read, and study, leave some quiet time for God to speak to your heart. It will come. And you will know it when it does. It may be that he has some healing work to do in your life first to prepare you. Maybe not. He may have something big planned for you. He may have something that works more on a day to day basis that seems small but really isn't. Look for His hand in everything. Pray each morning that He will use your hands as His own. It will happen. I promise.
And, girl -- the Joyce Meyer ministries has down to earth stuff that I absolutely LOOOOOVE. She's a trip! She puts real life stuff into perspective in such a creative and entertaining way. She's got the roughest voice you've ever heard, but her messages are absolutely fabulous! You've GOT to try at least one or two.
Talking with a pastor is fine, but what I found to be most helpful to me was a trip to the bookstore. And if you don't like to read, books on cd work fine. Take the time to go to the section designed for your age group. Look not only at the titles, but at the blurb on the back & the table of contents. Glance at the chapters to be sure they're easy reading (so you'll stick with it). Carry 2 or 3 or 4 possibilities around in your arms for a while. Walk around to the topical section - devotionals - section for mom's (if you're a mom); spiritual healing for depression (if that's an issue); etc. You get the picture. Don't overwhelm yourself, though.
See you on the Other Side of the Pearlie Gates, My Friend!

1) Seek assistance from your church (they should at least have some things for you to read to get started, and might even have some sort of mentoring/discipling program where they will match you with a more mature Christian to help you learn about the Christian faith
2) I don't know if you like to read very much, but try reading books by Christian authors. C.S. Lewis is a very good place to start. Mere Christianity is one of his classics . . .
3) Practice what are called the Spiritual Disciplines (many books have been written about this); Pray, Read the Bible, Meditate on the Word (think about what a particular passage means), etc.
If you are attending a church, you really need to get plugged in! If not, look for a church that has some sort of discipling program for new believers . . . Hope this helps

Believing is only the beginning, and going to church is excellent, but the way you really get to understand your faith is by volunteering to do some work for the Lord.
Find out what types of projects your church supports, and volunteer to help. If your local church doesn't have much going on, volunteer at another church (or two) nearby.
Don't worry about whether you're qualified, or whether you'll do a good job, or even if you'll like doing it.
Make a leap of faith and just do it.
God will take care of the rest.
Remember, faith without works is dead!

Yes. Go to church and tell the pastor in charge.
Rightfully speaking, the person sharing the gospel to you will help you out. But there are cases where people just came to know Jesus by themselves. Many Muslim do so.
Start to read bible and learn more about the love of God. But you need a group of believer to build each other up.
God Bless.

Study His Word. Make it a daily habit to read the Bible, and read all of it. Pray to Him for guidance and understanding of His Word. Obey His commands and ask for forgiveness when you fall short, while understanding that we all fall short. Don't just go to church, become involved with the church.
And most of all, watch your back. You are a target for the Enemy and He will do whatever he can to lead you astray. Do not expect things to go perfectly from here on out. In fact, don't be surprised if they seem to get worse. But know that this is a sign that you are growing closer to God.
Talk to Him every day. And I can not stress enough, read His Word. It's the first step to getting to know Him and understanding His ways.
And remember, faith without deeds is dead. Let His light shine through you. You must decrease so He can increase.

I am so excited for you! I am not sure what you mean by converted though. Where you another religion and changed? Or were you born again?
If you were born again, then, yes find a good bible based truth church. Study the word. You will begin to grow in your walk with Jesus. Find a group of people close to your age group, for support, a bible study, anything will help you on your way.
If you werent born again, start there. If you need more info on that click on my name.
be blessed in Jesus.

You're missing the point of being Christian. You don't have to fill some sort of quota for church attendance and good deeds in order to get into Heaven. Christianity, like just about all religions, is about helping those in need - you simply do it in the name of Christ. So, go feed the hungry, clothe the naked, tend to the sick, and visit those in prison!

I suggest you educate educate educate yourself. You can do this by talking to pastors, friends and family/ But primarily read the Bible and Pray. Perhaps check out "Christianity for dummies" I know it may seem silly but it is a really good source of what it is to be Christian. Since I am a christian Catholic, I am going to recommend you also check out "Catholicism for dummies." God Bless you, my best wishes in your journey. Oh, ask for people to pray for you too. God will help you find the way...

Well, you could talk to your minister and ask him/her what you're asking us. Try volunteering to help those less fortunate than you. Try to be a good example. Get involved in any group at your new church that looks interesting to you. Basically, just do what your comfort level allows until you feel like you want more involvement.
