i saw the movie and was touched by it, in a profound way that offers no words. my husband and i are not wealthy people, we get by with what we have. about three months after i saw it at home, i was at aldi's stocking up on my food stamp rations. ( we are off food stamps now, it was the hardest time in my life) a woman was ahead of me in line and her debit card didn't have the $20 she needed to purchase her food. i stood there thinking, "you have $400 dollars, offer to pay." it went by extrordinarily fast and i didn't offer. this has been my biggest regret of my life. i could'[ve mentioned the movie and created the beginning of my 'pay it forward." i will never pass up the opportunity again, despite how it presents itself.... my question is, do you have a moment like this, and did you do it, and if you didn't, will you next time. and everything in between.

I watched that movie too in my college eng class

basically you do what you can to pay it forward EVERYDAY,
not only by paying peoples groceries but by
opening the door for someone.
saying please and thank you and smile.
be respectful and humble.
Giving people the right of way
Giving forgiveness

Theres plenty others.

you should'nt be discourage by that incident.

just live you life by PAYING IT FORWARD EVERYDAY and eventually it will PAY OFF.

I have offered twice and the offer has not been accepted either time. I hope the people were not embarrassed. I truly think the offers were not accepted because these people were not in need. They just ended up at the check stand without enough cash with them. It was not a true need and these people knew it.

You sound like a great person. Just keep trying and it will work.

I'm a sucker, well atleast my husband says so, and long before the movie I had been doing this. There was a man at the gas station who didn't have enough gas to get home, I only had $4 and gave him $2 (that's when gas was .80 cents/gal) I came home crying cuz I didn't give it all to him...My husband told me I had just been scammed and not to worry about it but I always have
