i just have to ask this...

i'll just be sitting here and out of nowhere i'll smell her. the smell of her hair or skin will just appier for a second and then go away. she hasn't been over sence saturday afternoon. i've showerd and have new clothing on so there is absolutly and way for her smell to be on me. it just comes and goes, even at work (she hasn't been over at my work for about 1 year)

she isn't my girl friend offically. i'll cuddle with her but not anything big. so no jokes about that sort of thing.

i find this really weird. anyone else have this happen to them?
and why does this happen?

serious question.

i love her with all my heart and i just assume it is a subconscious signal my brain is sending. a general reminder of her.

basicly humans associate smells with memories so i wonder why my mind would do this. and i wonder if others have simulare experiances

no, it is a good smell.
it just remindes me of her it is really relaxing. it is not though negitivity that i type this but rather through curiousity. i'm actually happy when this happends. it reminds me of her and that makes me happy.

I can relate though my situation wasn't indentical to yours. For me it was my ex-wife. When we were together, I could smell her all through the day no matter where I was or what I was doing, and it would immediately make me pause for a moment to think about her. At times I would even smell her on my clothes....and I loved that little diversion! When we split up, she vanished in stages, as her scent gradually faded from each area, room by room, until finally she was truly, and totally gone... And that's when I began to internalize her absence; when I could no longer smell her, I began to feel the pain... That woman was master at blending
fragrances, and deploying soft wispy hints that she had passed this way. It was mercilessly potent sorcery.

nah ur right. ur brain is associating memories w/smells. That's actually I think the most sensative sense cuz it links ABSOLUTELY DIRECTLY w/the brain. It's happened to me. I'll be reading or something then all of a sudden I'll start thinking of my bf. I'll smell him, see him, etc...It's kinda weird but i'm not freaked out about it. Dont worry, it's a cool thing really that it happens cuz the human brain is so complex lol! Just embrace it!

Well it hasnt happened to me......only because i havnt been with anyone. But I think thats really sweet. I think the reason why it happens is that you are so in love with her, that you are totally absorbed by her in every single way. When you are into someone that much, everything reminds you of them, and your senses become acute and you therefore associate certain things to that special person. So when she is not around, you automatically pick up her smell, because its so important to you and because you've learned to tune into things that are related specifically to her. If anyone else walked in, they wouldnt notice or smell it, because they have not attached as much significance to that smell as you have. So your senses automatically pick up the smell of her!

thats so very sweet.

does the smell smell bad? I had a girl that smelled like a$$ in the worst way, everywhere I went. I don't know how you fix someone like that.
