As a religiously neutral person, I still understand why the bible thumpers say “God is love.” Love is power. Love is the meaning of our existence. To say that it comes once in a lifetime is to eat one meal and say “That’s enough for the rest of my life.” Sure, you will live for a time after that meal, but every day after that will suck more and more until you die.
True love is all around you!

Not really.
For example, let's say that ur true love comes along and u guys live happily for a while, then he/she, unfortunately, passes away.
Then, after a long time of moping, u decide to put ur self out there again. U then find someone else who is ur true love. Well, this one stays alive and u guys live happily ever after (blah, blah, blah) If u think about it, Which one really was ur true love?
I think that u truly love someone for different reasons. Think about it.... Different people= different personality and interests. Which, I think, means that u love people for different, specific reasons, but u still truly love them. :)
Hope I made sense!! :)

I have discovered from life experience that "true love" is once in a life time.....at least for me......my first husband was everything I was truely "In love" w/him.....I have discovered that though my second husband is a great husband and father and I do love him very much, it is not the same as my first "true love".

i read somewhere that you can only fall in love 3 times in your life, i mean true love. the rest is either lust or infatuation. I would like to meet someone who is in a relationship where both people feel true love for each other.

i agree with r-teddy

true love does happen once.its normally your 1st love but if u are not with that person then we choose the next best option who would probably be someone who has been with you through thick and thin. because practically in the end u would choose somone who has been there for u but u dont always have "feelings" for him/her. u develop those feelings afterwards. some people confuse that with another love story of their life and when asked a question "who do u actually love", i bet they would think about the 1st person they fell in love with not the one they are happily with right now...even though some people would lie through their teeth :)

No. not really true love is what you make it. Perhaps for some but not for most. Human beings are loving creature by nature and you will never run out of love as long as you will never run out of hope.

True love can come several times in ones life.

I know a widow that re-married, and found happiness again.

True love was there in her first marriage, and again in her second.

As for many widows and widowers.

Heck no. If that were the case, people wouldn't have multiple marriages and kids with multiple partners. Love is everywhere. You just have to look in the right places.
