If you do, have him meet you at a public place where you will both have your own cars. Then, you won't have to worry about your safety, & can get to know him better. In today's busy world, meeting people online is becoming more common, but you have to know how to play it safe. I doubt he'll have any objections.
I actually met my last serious girlfriend online, & we were together for about a year & a half before things soured. Truth be told, if she would have been willing to work or go to college, we would probably still be together. Still, we met online first, then met in person, & ended up having a lot of happy times together that I would never give up, even if it meant erasing the sad times, as well. So, if you meet him, it may not be a permanent thing, but you may end up missing out on a lot of good times if you don't, that are worth risking some bad times for in the process. I would recommend meeting him, just so you don't have to wonder the rest of your life what might have happened. Just keep it safe, & you'll be fine.

There is a lot of hype about "bad people" on the Internet , and sure enough there actually are a lot of bad people here.
If you have met someone "on line" and wish to meet them , I'd recommend you take the chance and do it.
To be safe , on the first meeting , it would pay to take a friend with you and let others know where you are going and when you'll be back.
Taking all the safety pre-cautions , you shouldn't have any trouble.
Have fun and good luck.

Don't be a sissy. Just meet him in a public place, like a restaurant in a mall.
That way, even if he seems freaky, there will be plenty of people around to whom you can scream for help.
I'm not trying to be funny.
If you allow fear to define you decisions in life then you will never attain to anything worthwhile.
Even if other people have bad stories, that doesn't make this individual a bad guy, nor does it mean that there aren't ways to meet him safely.

I say no. get to kno him more. Then if u go then go in a big group of friends (both boys n girls) that way u kno that ur safe.
I had a friend who met wit this guy that she met on myspace,, the pics, were cute but she wanted to see him in person. she went by herself n instead of the hot 17 yr old from the pics. it was a 40 yr old fat guy. he tried to kidnap her but she ran (good thing i got her to do track that year) to the mall security n they arrested him, turns out that he was a wanted serial killer.
be careful.
if ur in a public place in he has a gun to your back, dont yell HE HAS A GUN he will shot you before that. just yell BOMB, or FIRE or JUST SCREAM!!!! best of wishes.

There are plenty of horror stories online. I've arrested more online perverts than you could imagine. I've seen enough to keep you awake for the rest of your teen years.
Do yourself a favour. Stay away from the online hookups.
