Once you have sex the relationship can never be the same. There is no going back to being just friends... or at least it is very rare.

They can be friends 2. it depends on different ppl. Some of ppl cannot accept the fact their partner have break up with them, so they feel that the best way is not to have any more relation or matters with do with their partner, especially in asian countries.

Some do, But some times it better to have a clean break. One had usually hurt the other but they should not cause them any problems. Just except it for what happened. We fall in love, then out. I know it is hard but there is someone else out there looking for someone like you. Pem

that's not always true....i have remained friends with two past boyfriends...and they seem to be going fine...one of which i have been friends with for two years since the break up..i guess it depends in a lot of different variables..such as why you broke up was it amicable and so forth....sometimes the friendships do work...you just have to work a little harder to keep them going...

They can... but if they were crazy over each other, sometimes it's just wierd that you once had a spark with someone that you no longer have....
