whoever told you that is probably a Republican, who wants to nuke them all (not to dis Republicans, but to knock people who want to bomb out the Middle East)
Islam is however based on earning your way to God.

Well, there are points everywhere.
Christians (Vatican) got this INDULGENCE system, not sure how it works but in miedeval times, you can actually purchase them downright from the Pope.
For Muslims, to die a matyr will have heaven and 70 virgins waiting for you. Maybe thats why there are so many suicide bombings these days.
Its like sales commissions or sales incentives. Happens everywhere.

a muslim church is a MOSQUE. "POINTS" would be a rough way of looking at it. a muslim is rewarded what he /she does and how he/she lives her life. if you are a good practicing muslim and practice your religion to the best of your ability then you'll be rewarded, in heaven. if you are a bad, very bad, and refuse to accept God truth's then your reward would be hell.
