While the Bible has many historical accounts, it was not written to be a history book and so many of the stories just have the significant events recorded without all of the explanations about how and when they came about.
When you read that passage of the Bible it looks like Cain just left the area, went to another place and got married in about a week or a month or something like that. But it was actually quite a while after that when he married one of the other daughters of Adam and Eve or perhaps even one of their grand children.

Adams first wife Lilith she left to another land (Nod). Then Lilith was bride of Samael there. Cain went to live with them. Some say he married the daughter of Lilith and Samael, while others say he married one of his sisters.
Genesis 4:15
And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
Notice that God set a mark on Cain, that mark is very important, it is the beginning of the mark of the beast. It is also a spiritual mark. Cain's offspring in the Bible are called Kenites.
John 8:42-47 Jesus is talking to some Kenites.
Kenites claim to be Jews but they are not
Revelation 2:8-11
Revelation 3:7-13
Apples have nothing what so ever to do with what happened in the garden of Eden.
What Eve did was have intercourse with Satan.
Cain and Abel are fraternal twins, which means they came from two separate bags of water. They had separate conceptions. It is possible for fraternal twins to have different fathers, just like Cain and Abel did.
In Genesis 5 we have the generations of Adam all the way to Noah and his sons. Cain and Abel are not mentioned as a child of Adam.

In Genesis, it clearly states that Adam and Eve had many other children, but many biblical scholars agree that once Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden, other peoples were created in other locations around the area. (This by the way explains why people don't all look the same.) By the time Cain killed Abel, there were indeed other people around.

The Bible never says that Adam and Eve only had Cain and Able at the time of Able's slaying. Cain could have married one of his sisters.

Lilith(Adams real first wife/mate) was also escorted out of Eden and joined other tribes. Cain was also with the mark. then Adam and Eve. they all joined other tribes and were accepted into them.
So Adam &Eve were either the first of those that would be called Isrealites and the other tribes were what we might call the cromagams.
Or there was more than one place on earth that God created People.

That is a good question, I really don't know the answer, obviosly there is one. But God also said Cain was marked as a protected son, and if killed would be saved. So I guess somewhere there was another tribe God had created after
Cain and Able, I wish I knew.

This is a story that was written thousands of years ago. Those who wrote it saw themselves as the only people on this vast earth. Perhaps they saw themselves as the only children of God. Cain found a wife from another tribe that was outside of their little world.
The only other option of course is that he married a sister. God did say go out and populate the Earth. God later taught that incest was wrong. But maybe it was only seen as wrong after there were sufficient people that incest wasn't necessary
