The US has 250 million out the total population of 300 million that are christians, the US is ranked #1 since 250 million is the most christians in one country. And theres 2.1 billion christians in the world. Of those 250 million, 125 million simply penciled in "christian" because one time when they were 7 their mom took them to church.
Of the remaining 125 million, only about half of those actually display any sign at all of really believing.
It's not as bad as you think.

If there where that many christians in the US then the USA must be an amazing spiritual place with low crime and murder and low numbers of military personel and few wanting to be in politics. The love among people would be abundant and people be agreeable amongst each other.
But the USA is nothing like that.
