If there is no test, then there is no God, is kinda where I'm leaning on this one. Then again, maybe one of the "Bright" Christians out there have something to contribute.

You say: "God just is".
I say: "We are here because we are here, nothing more nothing less, no God required."
Who is right??????????????

Ask Jesus to jump off a cliff. If he doesn't, then god doesn't exist. If he does, then god doesn't exist.

Testing God is not something you are supposed to do. If you
are wondering if there is a God, than you should read the Bible.
I'm a christian and I always wonder how someone can't
believe. I mean if you look around you it is so simple. I think people make it a lot harder than it is . Look at the sky, a sunset, a
rainbow, all the things he created on this earth. Look at all the
conflict in the middle east. It has been going on since the beginning
of time. They even say it is over religion. Because one does not
believe in their god allah and instead is a jew or christian or whatever. Look at a seed and how it grows into a beautiful plant
or bush or tree. All by itself. Look at the human body and how we
are made. Science can't explain everything and why is that?
There is evidence of Gods existence all around if you just look for
it. Problem is that unless you want to see it , you are not going to.
Go back and read about the Evolution and then read about
Creation. You may than begin to see a little clearly. As far as
"bright christians". Just because someone is a christian does
not make them perfect or "holyer than thou" or brighter. It simply
means we have seen the light! God Bless.

The real test comes at the end of your life when the material body falls back into the material elements and you leave it.

At that time there is a replay of everything that has been experienced and performed during the course of this life, which will propel the soul to another situation, if you have lived a spiritual life and revived your original consciousness, then you will be eligible to remain in the spiritual world.

If however the activities are performed with a mentality that is more worldly, then the soul will return back to the material platform and be shrouded in other temporary material form, awarded to match the mentality that has been created through desires and previous activities, if there is no interest in spiritual matters, then there is no reason to take another human birth, because only in the human form of life is the soul able to perceive itself, perceive spiritual reality and perceive God.

You certainly have the right name. Look at God! Like the serpent, you want to tempt others to do the wrong thing. Like Satan, you want to tempt God. Baby, you are not very well educated or bright if you do that. The devil is wrong. You can not decide to test God without consequences. It just depends when God will let the other shoe fall. Your question is a test. Not a good one or a smart one, but it is a test. I will pray that you get better. Forgive Him Lord, for he knows not what he does.

It's not about a test, it's about faith, dear. You don't "test" God, you can't say "God, if I jump off this building, and you're real, you will save me", because that is not faith.

There is no test, but that does not mean that there is no God. The real test, my friend, is you. Do you have the strength to believe in something that is all around you, yet unreachable at the same time? To believe that there is someone out there who loves you so much that they would die for you?

I hope you find the answers that you are looking for, and I hope that you find them in yourself, not just in other people. Good luck, my friend.

The best way to test God is to pray with an honest heart something like this.

"God, I don't really believe in you but a lot of people claim that you exist. I really want to know if this is true or not and so if you do exist please show me that this is true."

If you pray a prayer like that and really mean it then God will start to reveal Himself to you in your daily life. If you just say those words out loud with an arrogant and hard hearted attitude then you will in all likelihood just be wasting your time.

You cannot test God whatsoever, except in this: in giving your tithes. In Malachi 3:8-10,The Lord says,"8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Give God 10 dollars and He gives back to you 100 dollars. In this you can test God. Ask those who give their tithes, tell them how much money have they made for every dollar they gave to the Lord.

Funny you mention the need for a "Bright" Christian, especially since darkness is actually a measure of the absence of light...

Anyway, the Bible does allow for someone to "test" him in a very specific area. The best part of this test is that you don't even have to believe in God.

It involves something referred to as a "Tithe". A tithe is a donation of the first 10% of one's gross earnings given to the church. The Bible is very specific in allowing someone who is faithful with their tithe (let's say, at least 3 years worth) to ask for God to bless them in their finances.

So, if you want to test God, just do what I do and give 10% of your pay to your local church and wait for a rainy day when you really need HIS help. It worked for me when I hurt my knee and had to sell my truck in the same month. God provided a way for me to afford roughly the $4000 for my knee and another grand for a new car. By the way, the certified used car was still under factory warranty, was on sale, and the salesman erred in our final negotiations and had to take an additional $700 off...

E-mail me in 3 years, and tell me how it works out. :-)

i'm not a christian - but why would you need to question / test anybody.
to me god is just a character that makes a lot of people in this world happy - and have faith there is more to this life than there seems - why would you need to test that??
who's to say this that we live in isnt heaven / hell and when we die here, we dont go somewhere else to become another person?
Stop knocking peoples faith and religion, I am an atheyst but everyone has a right to believe in what they want!!!

Many people have done this , its all through the Bible. God says in some passages , test me. Doesnt work out too good for them though. It may not happen right away, but believe me you will get an answer, I should know.

I don't know why a Christian would be any more qualified to reply than anyone else. The answer is right in front of you. Simply have the courage to DO WHATEVER IT IS that would make you a "believer." Although belief is not neccesarily limited to Christianity. Lotsa luck. From my point of view, you'll need it.
