I am a Christian, albeit an unconventional one. However, I do not place too much faith in the Bible itself. I think it's a reflection on the truth, perhaps distorted across time due to copying errors and the writers' misconceptions. Generally speaking, I favor scientific evidence over literal Bible interpretations and pseudoscience. You might say that I'm almost an atheist, but I just can't believe that all morality is supposed to be relative. And something else that bugs me is that it's hard for me to believe that life just started from some random elements without any help. I just find that scenario as improbable as having a deity involved. I believe in Evolution, but I have a hard time with the "lightning striking a swamp" theory. I don't know if Christianity is the best religion, but I find it to be a good religion if observed with mainstream science in mind. A friend told me a bit about Hinduism, and I was thinking about doing some research on it. If I like it better than Christianity (i.e., it makes more sense), I may convert. However, I will remain a Christian until I find a better theory. Have a nice day!
