Unless wrapped in a ziploc bag or in some sort of plastic, they usually dry out in a couple of days. If wrapped, about 10 days.

If you have put the onion in a double zipped locked bag it will last 1 to 2 weeks if you put it in the coldest part of the fridge. Upon removing the onion you will have a tough skin on the side where onion was first cut. Just make a cut this thin slice off and the onion will be ready to use.

I put mine in a ziplock bag and it will usually last about a week. I cut the dry part off before using the rest of the onion.

wrap it or cover it in a container, it lasts for a minimum of 7 weeks. with out any cover or wrap, not more than 2 days
