I am curious as to how many people are doing anything or just don't care to. Myself, I am doing things like not running as much electricity, reusing plastic bags, reusing plastic bottles, public transportation, etc.

**People who post smart a$$ remarks, lude comments, etc. will be reported.

Overall, I'm just living out the rest of my days.

Although I do reuse plastic bags, and put my newpapers to the recycling bins.

But since I run a business selling new and used record albums and compact discs, you could say I'm helping to recycle each of those items.

I drive a hybrid car, recycle cans, bottles, plastic, use florescent lightbulbs, donate old clothes to thrift shops, try not to buy overpackaged products, and write tons of letters to government officials about environmental issues, and I work as a wildlife biologist and I am out there studying and saving endangered species on a daily basis.

Recycling, re-using, and at the end of deer season I drive around and pick up the garbage that was thrown out by those stupid hunters that are too lazy to throw it in the back of their truck or take it with them or wait until there's one of those blue signs that says someone cleans that part of the road. It gets ugly sometimes but someone has to do it. I hunt myself and it just pi****s me off when I'm out in the middle of nowhere, and there's plastic bottles or aluminum cans laying around. They have no respect and shouldn't even be allowed in the woods. (Thank you for letting me get that off my chest) :)

Aside from the normal stuff: recycling, driving a 4 cylinder car, composting etc... I think one of the important thing that we do as parents is teaching our kids to respect the environment and instill that responsibility in them for their future... : )

mainly trying to use less electricity:

unplugging chargers (computer, cell, headset, mp3 player, etc. when not in use)

temperature in my house is set at 80 - using fans to stay cool rather than chilling my house like an icebox.

using task lighting instead of lighting up the whole room.
