Well, the average litter is about 4 cats [1], so if you started with one mother, you'd have about 4 kittens. Then, assuming you don't bring any new cats in, you'd have about 16 inbred grand-kittens, and 64 great-grand-kittens with the IQ of a kitchen sponge.

Don't do it unless you are prepared for huge vet bills in taking care of these animals. I have seen situations where homeowners let this get out of control and couldn't keep up with it. It became a nasty situation with diseased and injured cats all around. (40 or 50) They eventually got fined for cruelty and many of the cats had to be put down. Another person had his house condemmed. That place reeked... He had over two hundred and fifty and made national headlines back in the early eightys.
