I am not a big Bose fan and would never recommend Bose because they are way over priced for what you get. They spend all their money advertising so people think they are good and don't spend enough on putting in good stuff. Do you ever really see advertisement for other speaker companies?
I don't know much about the Sharp either although the reviews I have read said great things about it.
I would compare prices and see which is better. If you have a chance to listen some place do so. Only you know what you like. Good luck.

Ack stay away from Bose. Big market hype. Best rule of thumb for purchasing audio equipment is spend half your budget on speakers, the other half on everything else (excluding a TV).

So if you have $2K to spend, spend 1k on speakers and split up 1k on a receiver, CD player, tape(?) etc....
