Soda is harmful because of the high sugar, high sodium involved in most soda. Although diet sodas have been proven to be worse for you than regular soda! (U Conn study done in 2003). It's bad for calcium absorption. I would say try cutting your soda with water at least that way you make one glass or soda go a bit longer. And hopefully cut down on your soda intake.

put a 2 inch nail in a bottle of soda for a week. Empty it and you'll see that the nail is gone. Soda's are corrosive. Leave a T-bone steak in a bowl of soda for 2 days and it's gone.
In some States, Highway Patrol carry two 2-liter bottle of coke in their car to use it to wash away blood after a car wash...
Stay away from Soda...

Yes, I am currently paying for the soda I drank as a teenager. My teeth started to rot when I was 23 and haven't stopped. I currently spend about $1000 a year getting my teeth fixed. Haven't drank soda since I was 21 but the damage was already done. Too much fruit juice is bad for your teeth to.

I am addicted to diet soda and I feel fine. If you are drinking regular soda then the sugar could be too much but they say the artifical sweetners in diet soda cause cancer. I'll take my chances.
