Depending on what you are seeking to learn, Karate, Judo, or Tae-Quan-Do are all good forms to learn.
There are several forms which utilize weapons. As mentioned, Kendo, or Kanjatsu, uses the bamboo boken to emulate katana sword fighting. It's really more of oriental fencing, with padding, scoring, and defined form.
But other forms of martial arts utilize weapons at various levels. Tai-jatsu is a form which trains to defend against superior force, numbers or armed opponents.

ok it depends what kind of things you want to do, but if you just want to do all around martial art ground, standup and where you fight with a stick aka (Bo). Do Karate, see if u can do Goju that is the best style of karate. U can do nunchucks, the bo, Sai's, tonfas, some have the samurai sword. They teach special techniques using katas which is a great way of teaching, learning and remembering. give it a try

The answer to your question is the martial art that has a teacher that is willing to work with your special attributes. Weapons training is for later for weapons are just the extension of ones body. You must learn how to walk before you run.

you probably want arnis or escrima (same thing different name). they use a stick and don't require alot of physical movement to attain there goals (i.e. deep stances flips high kick so on). further more it does transtion to fist fighting (don't tell them i told you that) so you could hit someone hard. it sounds lik ethis is the style you want.
