I was wondering how close you can get to the big hollywood sign in hollywood, CA? Can you like go all the way up by it, or what?

legally not too close. those who have touched it or been closer than a landscape looking type of thing did it illegaly (you can get sent to jail or pay a huge fine)

The Hollywood Sign is located in Griffith Park (Hollywood Hills). While they have it gated off, you can hike up and climb the fence.

a couple of years ago i tried to go there, but the road was closed off, you can reach there by foot but its illegal and yeah there are cameras there. the reason it closed off was because there one too many suicides that took place for the rich and famous,so it had to closed down. you can still get close by car and take a pic of it with it in the backgroudn, i did that.

yeh u can climb up it they have ladders. but watch out for rival gangs some like to pick u off as u scale it with bebe guns and piantballs. but depending on there mood the sign will be the last thing you will ever see.

If your related to the Ladens i'd say about 1inch from it depending on if you wanna touch it offcourse
