I think that is it very possible that you could be depressed. The best way to determine that would be to meet with a physician or a mental health clinician to have a appropriate assessment doe so that a proper diagnosis can be made. The things that you have stated on the surface seem to resemble classic signs of depression, therefore I suggest that you see a doctor or clinician as soon as possible.

Depression comes in different levels. Everyone suffers from some sort of depression from time to time. Unless the government starts putting Prozac in the water with the Fluoride, it's something we all have to learn to deal with. Of course that comment excludes Mr. Cruise!

If you are really concerned about your current condition go see your Family Dr. They can set you up with a referral to see a professional if needed?? In general, the description sounds like you might need a little cognitive therapy and that is it!?!

The "exhausted, eat and sleep" conditions you mention is what needs to be addressed. The three are intertwined and your Family Doc can help you with that. Make an appointment tomorrow!

Yes You are depressed. Not all depressed people think about suicide. You have all the symptoms. You need to talk to someone, a trusted friend, your Dr. or Clergy. You shouldn't worry about worrying you friends. If they are true friends you should be able to talk to them. You need to find out why you feel this way. Don't move until you get your life back on track. That could just depress you more, being away from the people you love and that love you. Good luck.

Hi there watnow, After reading your question, I decided to give you some information, since I too have felt like that in the past, and yes, I`m fine now , so it will pass, Thank God. Actually it does sound like you are somewhat depressed, and "stressed" out as well, but at least you do get out with your friends, and you`re not suicidal, that`s a very good sign that you feel there is hope for whatever situation you`re going through right now that`s causing you to feel so out of it.check w/your Dr. and see if you can take vitamins, and eat bananas with a small glass of pure oj. for potassium, you`d be surprised to find how important it is to keep your system built up, vitamin deficiency can cause one to feel really low and out of it. especially if you don`t have an appetite, I pray Gods blessings for you,He sees your tears, and knows why, God really does care for you, if you have a Holy Bible Please read it , because when you pray you are talking to God , and when you read your Bible God is talking to you, try it if you havn`t, you must do all that you can to take care of yourself.

if you normally don't sleep and eat much, maybe you are ok. but if it's a decrease in appetite and change of life style and it persists for at least two weeks(do you used to love talking to everyone?) , then it might be an early stage of depression. depression is progressive, you don't have to think about killing yourself in the beginning. talk to a doctor, and make sure you get help in an early stage.

It could be many other feelings or just alot of stress. I wouldn't jump right to depression because it could also be a change in the way your body functions.
