i have a friend that is 23 yr old and she has alot of mental problams she can hear voices in alot of other stuff right now she not on medacade but she needs to talk to someone does any one know of a hotline that i can tell her to call when she start to have problems like this yes i know she needs to go to a doctor

yes we live in arkansas i live in clarksville and she lives in ozark we have know each other for 4 yrs now and this is the first time she has not been on drugs sence i know her

well i know she dont have any med's cause she dont have any medacade or ins in she not lieing to her dr cause she cant afford on so the only person she has to talk to is me in i tell her she needs to see a doctor in get on meds but it's all comes down to not haveing the money that why i need a website for someone she can talk to owhen she starts to hear things in so on

Thanks for being a caring person. She could be developing some mental health problem and it is best diagnosed and treated early. Yes, she needs medical advice urgently. Take her to the best doctor around and make sure she gets the best treatment.

there is an 800 number posted there. You didn't say she was from the US. There are other centers in Australia and the UK. You can find them by doing a search using the terms - schizophrenia AND helpline

I think that each county has a mental health office. Try to look up mental health in your local phone book and see if they can direct you to the right place. You might also try calling your local hospital and ask them where she can go and talk to someone. Explain to them that she does not have insurance but that she really needs to talk to someone and they should be able to help you.

And she needs to stay on those medications. She "feels better" without the medications but she doesn't know how she feels and what's good for her.
Her outlook is BLEAK if she won't stay on her medications. And I'll tell you something else -- she's lying to her doctor about taking her prescriptions.

i don't know what area you are in but in australia you can get onto the site for ''beyond blue'' .this is an organisation made up of drs. and other proffessional medics who can help your friend

In Illinois, the county health dept. has psychologists on staff and they bill by what the patient is able to pay, based upon income. it's free below a certain income level. idk if other states do that or not, but it's worth checking into
