Why is it when these people on here talk about Mexicans they automatically assume we are all NACOS? Meaning we wear hats, and boots, drive vans or trucks, have 10 kids as it has so many times been stated? That is not the case anyone who has common sense knows that those are a type of people from a race of people. I just think it is unfair to stereotype a person because of a class of people. You have different types of people here you have your rednecks, your babyboomers, hippies, what have you but I do not judge all white people by the acts of these other groups. And before you answer just to clear it up I AM NOT ILLEGAL as so many assumed from my previous questions. So just to clear up any confusion before you put your 2 cents into it.

I was brought up to believe all people are equal. There is good and bad in all nationalities. It shouldn't matter if you are white, black, yellow, green, blue. Inside we are all made the same. A sick Mexican woman kidnapped my baby and took her from NH to Texas then to Laredo Mexico. I don't blame other Mexicans for this. In fact I have a few friends that are Mexican and they are wonderful people. I know I can't blame all Mexicans for this. However, this sick woman should get in trouble for this but our gov't just let her go, even after her confession. Makes me think this woman is involved in other criminal activities, such as drugs or transporting illegal immigrants and the gov't wants to get her on these other things so they can tell the world,"Look, we are doing a good job and catching these criminals. Our gov't is so corrupt and greedy and they will do anything they can to look good.

There Is No Stereotype For ILLEGAL ALIEN

You Are An ILLEGAL ALIEN
If You Cannot Provide LEGAL,
VALID Documents Of Residency
In That Case, You Get Deported

You Here Legally?
Play Your Mariachi Music All You Want
Have As Many Kids As You Want
Wear WHATEVER You Want

Its The ILLEGAL ALIENS
That Are Making This So DIFFICULT
For The Legal Immigrants

You (Legal Immigrants And Residents)
Should Be Pissed At THEM (ILLEGALs)
NOT Us Citizens

My 2 cents

People stereotype because that's just how humans are. Even if we say that we don't do it, truth be told, we have made an assumption about someone somewhere. We all judge. That's life. A lot of people think that all republicans like Bush, that all of them are christians, that all Witches are satanists. That's not true. I republican and I'm not too fond of Bush, I am Pagan, and wicca is not satan related, they don't even believe in such a being.

In High School you have your preps, goths, loners, and the trouble makers. People assume that all the preps are stupid, all the goths are satanists, all the loners do drugs, and all the trouble makers are mean. It happens all the time wether you like it or not.

Get used to it! Not everyone thinks that about mexicans so get a grip and quit taking it so personally.

Unfortunately that is the way that most people think, they are quick to jump the gun and make assumptions about people before knowing the facts. No one sees that there are all types of people in a particular race. They would much rather think that all are like that because that is the picture that is being portrayed right now. They believe everything they see on TV, and that is sad that we as Americans take everything to heart that we see without first knowing the facts. It is just a part of this culture and nothing will ever change that.

I don't assume that. The Mexicans I know personally aren't like that, and I live in Southern California, and vacation in Mexico, so I do know some.

People shouldn't generalize a whole nation by a fraction of that nation.

However, Mexican is not a race, any more than American is a race. They are both nationalities and have many races within them.

Of course that is not the case, but people assume everyone that is against illegal immigration is white, 80 to 90 % of the American people are against illegal immigration, and America is not 80 to 90 % white. I no Mexicans Americans that are not that way and all of the illegals that come here don't have any of those characteristics, and they are also not starving I have not seen an anorexic Mexican coming across the border they all look pretty healthy to me.

I don't assume anything about anyone. I try to judge people by their personal actions and I abhor people that are racists.

There are good and bad in every race. If you start judging by race only then you will certainly miss out on meeting some very interesting people in your lifetime.

Don't let the voices of so many misinformed people bring you down. Keep your head up and continue to be yourself.

Thanks and I agree....As a Hispanic, I see many Mexican 'nacos' and yes they are a segment of our culture, but they by NO MEANS make up the whole culture....

I happen to like nacos, they have a place in our culture and they are just the ordinary working class...But I do agree, there is a lot of stereotyping about Mexicans.

I assume that you migrated legally. If so, why do you think that people should jump in front of others that wait to migrate legally? We are a nation of laws, and I don't buy this argument American think this way about Mexicans. We just ask that you migrate legally. Why is that so hard to understand?

What we talk about are illegals who are here. Please understand, when we see our flag being flown under the Mexican flag, we get mad. When we see people who are here illegally, take to our streets with the Mexican flag, we get mad. When we see our tax dollars being drained by illegals when we have poor, disable, and elderly losing services, we get mad.

My brother-in-law is from Mexico City. He legally immigrated here when he was a boy....he is an incredible person and everyone loves him. His children...gorgeous blend of the Mexican/Indian blood and the Irish/English blood....

This is about illegals, not about Americans...
