My favourite scripture is 1 Cor. 13, especially 8 to 13.
See also the "first and foremost commandments" promoted by Jesus (and Moses) as the fundament of ALL laws.

The most important thing or emotion is OUTGOING love.

From experience I can say that it feels (and is!) good to be loved, but it feels even better to see what your love for others does for them and for you.
Just be kind to someone and watch how that someone passes on kindness.
It doesn't always happen as you watch but you may find out later, and when you do you "feel" the reward.

And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.

Helaman 5:12
And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Yea,though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;thou anointest
my head with oil;my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in
the house of the Lord forever...

Matthew 11 28-30

28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
