Well...my personal beliefs aside (but only for a second!) obviously since she DOES believe in God and DOES NOT believe in Satan then.....it's possible. But that doesn't mean it's logical, or rational. But, many people choose not to believe in Satan, b/c then they would have to admit to consequences for their actions, and then they would have to start taking responsibility for those actions. It is much much easier to believe in some lofty, nicey-nice deity up there 'somewhere' and that he watches you and helps you out now and then. Better than then someone who just might expect you to behave a certain way than or accept the consequences. Solely believing there's some guy up there who sometimes calls the shots is a cop out.
I do not believe in both God and Satan simply b/c they are opposites. I believe in both b/c I am a Bible believing Christian, so that means I believe what's in the Bible...which includes a real Satan who does really nasty things to people who allow him into their hearts. For those who have a personal relationship with Christ, who've been saved, there is no doubt whatsoever that BOTH good and evil exist, and that both God and Satan exist.

No, you cannot. Dismissing the devil makes belief in God like a self-help course.
Not believing in the Devil is actually a trick of the devil. Wanna see how?
Just follow the logic of it: The devil is a fallen angel of God. That's means that at one point God created him and he was in heaven with God. Then, because of arrogance and false pride, the devil rebelled. He was cast out of heaven and eternally damned to Hell.
This sound familiar?
Now, trace it back. If the devil doesn't exist, then how can God exist? God created him in the first place. So if the devil convinces you that he doesn't exist, that would mean the evil really doesn't exist, which backs up to God (the devil's creator), meaning God doesn't exist either, nor does goodness.
This little trick of the devil is ultimately designed to make you lose your belief and faith in God. If there is no devil, then there is no evil. If there is no evil, then there is no good. No goodness, and there is no God.
As above, it reduces the Almighty to a "supernatural" self-help figure that we all imagine so that we can "feel better" about ourselves.
The devil is there, as hateful and evil as you dare please. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking he's not, because if you do, he's there to snatch you up. Tricky sucker, ain't he.

Yes you can. I am a Pagan and Pagans believe in God, but not the Devil or Hell. We don't see God the same way Christians see Her. In fact, many religions have no belief of the Devil.
By the way, I do kind of believe in the Devil. But I call him George Bush.
Blessed be.

I'm an atheist, but I've heard this debated over a few times. The argument is that the devil dosent exist because the devil is simply the abcense of god.

To answer your question,
I believe in God, but not in Satan. It's a myth. The existence of God is contingent upon , least of all, the existence of a so-called devil. Everything that God created was good, there is no "fallen angel" that some call Lucifer, who became Satan.
There is no embodiment of evil, because evil is non-existent. Huh???? How can evil be non-existent? I'll tell you how.
What is evil? Evil is the absence of good. Evil in and of itself does not exist, it's just when there is no good present, that's it. Darkness is the absence of light, poverty is the absence of wealth, disease is the absence of good health, sadness is the absence of joy, ignorance is the absence of knowledge, cruelty is the absence of compassion, selfishness is the absence of thoughtfulness, blindness is the absence of sight, etc etc. Blindness is a good example, because in and of itself it doesn't exist. It's the state of being when the person does not have sight.
Good and Evil are not the same, they are not exact opposites. There is only good, and evil is merely its absence. Thus, there is no embodiment of evil aka Satan.

No you cannot. Simply because all good comes from God. God is not capable of being evil. Evil is Satan and Man. Since there is evil in the world - murder, rape, war, tsunamis then it must be from the devil. Otherwise we would have a God that doesn't care for us, when He has already proven He loves us by sending his Son to die for us.

No. God and Evil are the poles of the same battery. Believe that God exist alone is not logic. The Universe can't survive without Entropy.
Anyway the best theory is that God and Evil, as described on religions, doesn't exist.

I'll remind you that the devil is just as fake as god. Why would one believe in the devil if one does not believe in god?

No you cannot believe in God and not the Devil. You can't believe part of the bible and then delete what parts you don't like. It does not work like that.
