Liberals don't tolerate our President. They don't tolerate the views of church-going folks. They don't tolerate the defense of American traditions. They don't tolerate our military.

If I don't like someone I tell them. I don't have to sit and tolerate them.

Could you be anymore general? Just because you believe that doesn't make it true. The only time I don't tolerate church going folks is when they tell me I will rot in hell for not believing the same thing they do. If you want me to respect you and your beliefs then you have to do the same for me. As for the defense of American traditions? What gave you the right to try and impose them on the rest of the world? This is why people hate Americans as a whole, because you have no respect for the beliefs of other people yet you try to ram your beliefs down their throats. American traditions belong on american soil. And as for the military, they are a proud and necessary part of any country around the world. Its not the soldiers that are the problem, its the people who lead them, who are so immersed in their petty power plays that they fail to see the lives that are thrown away like so much garbage.
You are allowed to not like someone, that is your right and the right of any person alive. However there is a fine line between dislike and self-absorbed hatred and bigotry. Do you even know the difference?

I tolerate the views of church-going folks. It's when they try to force everyone else to follow their rules, and it starts invading government, that I get a little huffy.

I tolerate the defense of American traditions like the Bill of Rights and the Constitution; that we are an inclusive country; that we take care of each other; that family is the most important structure and should be supported in all forms.

I tolerate our military. I support them. I don't tolerate policies that send them to their death.

OK, you're right, I don't tolerate the President.

You are a jerk, but I tolerate you! I AM a liberal, in fact, VERY liberal. I am a Christian, and I go to church!! I love some American traditions. I think the whole military-industrial complex stinks, but I still pay my taxes.

I don't think I'd like you at all, but I would tolerate you!

But, in answer to your question: I think that we should all be tolerant of others because Jesus said that the second greatest Commandment, right after, "Lover God with all your heart and mind and soul", is, "Love your neighbor as yourself."---and he didn't mean just the guy down the street who borrows your lawn mower. "Neighbor" is everyone else on this planet!!!

edit: I see Panacea is back with his garbage. Wow! it's difficult to be tolerant of him, but I guess he's got the right to say what he wants----thankx to the First Amendment (which he probably hates) and the ACLU (which I know he hates) Oh well, it will do me good to stretch my tolerance muscles................

Are you kidding?
Wow, way to be a horrible human being. I hope you are not religious, because the whole "Love thy Neighbor" thing totally passed you by. Even people who aren't religious know that that mindset is only going to land you alone in a crap apartment in the city with no friends or lovers or kids.
Just know that how you see other people is really how you see yourself. So the next time you see some stranger and think "Man, i hate him, he looks like a total tool" just know that that guy is exactly like you in every single way, except he probably has more friends because he is most likely nicer than you.
Good luck wisening up to the fact that it's not your political stance that makes you a jerk, it's the sheer fact that you are a jerk.

Oh, and stop knocking on liberals. We weren't made to just be clumped into categories like that, mr. generalization.

We live in a free place. We can llke or hate our gov't,police, president and even the military. There are no other people so duped in supporting and loving their military like many people in the US.I don't take that as sweet apple pie and the sweet part of america.Liberals believe in the bill of rights, the constitution, fair treament to poor and minorities, they also care for the whole country.

Liberals don't like bigots. Tolerating liars, killer and hypocrites is not advisable. Respecting and tolerating cultures other than your own is a sign of intelligence and openness.

Tolerance is a human behavioral virtue. It has nothing to do with being Liberal or Conservative, its not a political characteristic so its not even worthy of being in the same context.

Liberals are Godly people, Conservatives are Godless, simple.
The evidence to support this is massive.
One source is the Bible. God gave us 10 commandments to live our life by, they were not requests. God told us his greatest Commandment was to "love thy neighbor as thy self", one can not hate or kill what one truly loves. One must tolerate even the lowest of humans who are in fact Godless.

No they tolerate all that you just listed.

Being intolerant would be like the Seattle Islamic man who went into the Jewish center and started shooting.

They don't have to like it, but at least they put up with it.
