At first it was just my feet, then it moved up to my calves. Even though the pain only lasts for about half a minute, the pain is excruciating. I know alot of my answers are going to be "why dont you go to the doctor". Well I dont have the money to go to the dr. anytime I feel like it. Also I am an 18 yr old female.

Magnesium seems to help with the cramping too. Are you getting enough sleep? The muscles will ache if you haven't slept enough.

BTW, one of the BEST sources of potassium is tomatoes.

The best way that I know to stop the leg cramps (and believe me i got them very often during my first and second pregnancy) is to take a nice walk a couple of hours before bedtime. When you get home, have your partner massage your legs and back. I know that walking is hard when your pregnant but it keeps the blood flowing and also helps aid in delivery when it is time. If you do this, it is almost certain that you wont have anymore cramps. You should avoid "big stretching" which basically means don't over stretch. I don't recommend "soaking" in the tub, I know this is going to sound old fashioned but when you are pregnant there are too many risks of contracting infections that could seriously harm your baby. I wouldn't bathe, but maybe a warm shower will help. I know that walking worked wonders for me and I looked forward to my massage when I got home! I hope I have helped you, and good luck !!

zak's dehydration thought is a good one, but another possibility is low potassium. Try eating a banana (or two) a day for a few days and see if that helps.

If not, it may be a condition like plantar faciitis (although that typically wouldn't spread to the legs). A good indicator of plantar faciitis is severe pain (especially in the bottoms of your feet) when first getting up in the morning. Try stretching your calf muscles as well as the muscles on the bottoms of your feet before you get out of bed.
