1. over wieght, water at about 5 lbs a gallon, 200 gallons ( which is a small wading pool) would be 1/2 ton and the lmit for most pickups. even go up to one ton, 400 gallons, that is still not a huge pool.

2. the water is not baffled, so it will move back and forth with alot of motion, making it hard to drive and brake.

3. Example is the large pressure washing tanks that are on the back of trucks ( but normally saw on trailer.

You could most likely get by with it in back woods america but most likely no were else

If the bed of your pick up is 18" tall 4' wide and 8' deep and if it was full of water, you would have 2996.5 pounds of water in it. That would not only put you over the legal weight limit, but would make it very hard (and dangerous) to drive. But, if it wasn't full, there's no reason, it should get you a ticket. It is probably illegal in your state to ride around with people in the back though. Good luck!

Doubt you won't go overweight figure 8 1/2 lbs a gallon. Or about 1 ton per 250 gallons. your truck ready for that? All that sloshing weight in back will make difficult to control too.

Sell your idea to Toys-R-us. Your elastic pool would only fit in a toy truck. I wonder how much elastic you would have to glue to hold in sufficient water for your swimming pool?

Boaz.

HAHAHA!!! That is hilarious!!! That is an interesting idea. Most states probably don't have "laws" against it, but you never know. I'll bet if you called the local police or sheriffs department, they might have the answer and would have a good laugh. Good Luck and don't forget to wear your water shoes.

it wont stay full for long as you drive, but put an endangered species in the pool and you will be safe from the law

There is typically a law or ordinance prohibiting insecure loads on motor vehicles, that would probably apply. If you try it, I recommend you check your local ordinances and use extreme caution.

Sure. To have people swimming in it while you drive is another story though.
