Borla, Ansa and Flowmaster all have tubi exhausts that you can use.

Ferrari contracts with Borla and Ansa on a regular basis. The Borla tubi exhaust they use on the 550 Maranello is AWESOME. Flowmaster is a hot rodder favorite, and has a nice thrum at idle. I like the Ansa free-flow exhaust sound from the kit they make for British sports cars.

Any one of the companies I've listed can tune the exhaust exactly the way you want it...loud or soft.

Any way you go, it's your choice. Be sure the exhaust is worth it, though; don't go cheap!

I very highly recommend GHL. Its not the cheapest stuff, but is sounds phenominal. Gets a nice growl. Im not even much of a fan of the 1.8ts sound (im a vr6 guy, go figure :P), but i will admit they sound very good (and not ricey, which is a huge bonus).

and theyre fairly loud when on the throttle, but not when youre off. Trust me, you dont want something too loud. youll love it for a week and think youre the ****, but after that week youll kick yourself in the face every time you get on the highway and have to listen to WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA for 30 minutes.

search on vwvortex.com's forums for more info.

You have a teeny little 4 cylinder... It's not going to be loud or deep. I have a 2.3L 4 cylinder with a custom exhaust set up and it purrs nicely but it's nowhere the rolling thunder I thought I was going to get. www.magnaflow.com they have video clips of many different cars there.

I bought an exhaust for my Jetta from them. It has a nice deep growl to it. You don't want it to sound like a friggin Civic do you?
