he is very shy and he wants me and my husband (his best friend) to find him a nice girl. however since he is shy when we find a cute girl, he gets embarrassed and wont talk to her. what should i tell him? where is a good place other than a bar for single men to meet single women? unfortunately, i dont have any single friends and i am running out of options for him!!

i understand where you are coming from Toddo-- its not that we have little respect for him-- we want him to be with a nice girl. it would be nice to go out with me, my husband, him and a girlfrend instead of just him because i think he feels the third wheel.

Instead of throwing him a fish, teach him how to fish.

That is, instead of finding a girl for him start finding ways to help him be less shy. He lacks self confidence and social skills. Ease him into the process. There must be a book on this topic. Then he will be able to find his own girls.

There are books for children called, "The Shy Child: Helping Children Triumph over Shyness" and "The Shyness Breakthrough". There must be an equivalent for adults.

You sound like really good friends.

If you guys are old enough to be married and go to bars, for what reason would you be doing this for this other guy? I mean, how little respect do you 2 have for him?

I mean, which is more pathetic, that you 2 are doing this for him, or that you actually find girls willing to do this, or that he still can't step up to the plate after the 2 of you have hand delivered somebody to him?

Tell him to get some gumption...and that's putting it nicely.

this should be easy take him out to a nice clean descent resturant right then fix him up tell him that he has to be confident in him self and to trust himself right second fix him up with a nice cute girl then tell him to just make a conversation or just make him ask questions like how is your life going? Would she go out with another man? you know things like that then they should be going out more tell him pretend she is one of your freinds but you just met her give me an update if this dosent work please

pry his mouth open. j/k
seems to me you two are doing all the work for him. this is his life and he should know he shouldn't rely on you two. you can find him 1000 girls, and he will still refuse to talk to them if he doesn't grow up! getting him girls is not the solution to his problem. try to help him with his communication skills or just leave him alone to fix his own life.

dont go out to bars, instead throw little house parties, nothing big or fancy. set a more casual atmosphere.
