"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist"

Yes, it is from the Usual Suspects. Verbal said it refering to the poilice officer's beliefe that a certain Crime Lord, Keyser Soza, does not actually exist. To which Verbal replied this quote. I heard it and thought that it is a very true assessment no matter what movie it's from. Wisdom is finding meanind in the mundane. And the writer probably didn't have Verbal say it if he didn''t believe the same.

I think it's spot on.

This is the reason that pagans can sincerely say, "I don't worship Satan." It's true. They don't (except satanists).

However, satan doesn't particularly care if anyone worships him or not. He only wants to draw people away from God. Then, when they're away from God, then satan wins by default.

So, although pagans can honestly say that they don't worship satan, they're still on his side by default, and deluded to the idea that they're not.

It's very accurate that Satan has convinced some people he doesn't exist but that doesn't make him go away! He's very busy these days trying to pull as many away from God as possible since he knows his time is short. I've always thought the devil must be the stupidest creature ever; he was there when Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead. He started out as an angel until he rebelled against God so he knows without a doubt that God is real. He had to suffer a major embarrassment when God threw him out of Heaven because he was a trouble maker. And he knows that he is the biggest loser of all times. I will have the last laugh when he and his followers are cast for eternity into the lake of fire.

Well I'm not Christian, but I think that that begs a nice question:

How can he convince the world of anything? The world isn't sentient. It's the people IN the world that are thinking. And the jury is still out as far as the population of the world is concerned.

Though, supposedly ancient Judiasm didn't believe in the devil, and that certainly would make sense if that's what it refered to.

the issue is guy, is that christians quite are not getting it. LoL they don't fret to make the attempt to certainly "think of" approximately their god because of the fact they are advised to not in view it quite is sinful. they are asserting that some atheists are knowledgeable in theology because of the fact we try to understand what makes them so senile. i'm off issue nevertheless, they do exactly not understand that with all the moving from christianity to atheism god might basically might desire to make a million single visual attraction do one extremely fantastic subject and we'd desire to comprehend and have not any reason to doubt or not have faith. it quite is unhappy and it makes me sense sorry for human beings that have this way of feeble ideas.

I don't know if the devils greatest trick was that, but I do believe that the general rule for him and his heirarchy is to act covertly.

They are coming to the end of their days. The End Time events are unfolding and they are busy doing what they can for the ends of their master, at the same time, fulfilling God's word. ( How can they not know that?)

That's one of his tricks, but I know it's not his primary aim. His most subtle and effective deception is the same today as it was in the Garden of Eden, and that is to plant a seed of doubt in people's minds as to the veracity of God's Word. Once the seed of doubt is planted, he then goes in for the kill and convinces those he can that God's Word is not reliable. Even Christians today are falling for it in the form of embracing the doctrines of demons present in the perversions of the bible, aka the new versions. "Yea, hath God said......?" He changed the truth into a lie, as do the new versions. For more information, go to http://www.avpublications.com

Have you been reading Baudelaire? or watching "The Usual Suspects"?

Hey it seems to make sense. If people are hounded by the devil, then they don't see the need for salvation. Just One of them there Dastardly Stratagems!

I believe that a quote as true as this is a good one. I also believe that just by reading the many responses and questions on this site proves this quote even more. Thank you and may God bless you.

There's more to it than this quote.

This is just one among several lies.

The greatest lie the Devil can give is the one he combines with truth.

I don't know about it being the greatest trick but it certainly has furthered his cause a great deal.

i think the greatest trick he has ever pulled out is that people believe that he loves them. When he did nothing for them.
