If you do not believe in evolution, then why ask? You're just looking to argue with someone by posting something like that.
It is called "transitioning"... here is an explanation:
**********************
According to most scientific data, organisms evolve by the process of transition. Transition can be defined as a mechanism of evolution that is similar to other mechanisms, such as mutations.
In some cases, transitions are driven by:
Mutation, Genetic Drift, Gene Flow, Natural Selection, or any process that changes the allele frequency in a given population. However, most commonly, transitions is discussed on a molecular level involving DNA. Another definition for transition is "change of a pyrimidine nucleotide, C or T, into an other pyrimidine nucleotide, or change of a purine nuceotide, A or G, into an other purine nucleotide" (EMBL Outstation, Accessed 1/14/02).
Darwin proposed the first theory of transition when he journeyed to the Galapagos Islands. This theory was referred to as adaptation, but adaptation is just a form of transition. Darwin focused on eleven different species of finches that have adapted from one island to the next. These birds were separated by a geographical barrier and eventually became reproductively isolated into many different species (Campbell 418).
**************
Humans are continuing to evolve. Our small toes are continuing to get smaller and our small fingers are continuing to get smaller and our bodies have less body hair. This has been proven by scientists comparing skeletons that are thousands of years old. This doesn't happen withing 2 or 3 generations... we're talking thousands of years and hundreds of generations, if not more.
Believe or don't believe... it's been proven and creationism (or, ahem, Intelligent Design) has not.

Well here's where the scientific view and your view of life differ. If I was ever given proof that science had been barking up (or down) the wrong tree with evolution and it was something else I would have to change my mind about it. But there aren't any real scientist disagreeing with the theory of evolution. Just a few religiously motivated crack pots who ought to be kept in boxes with little tiny air holes.
Oh I shouldn't be so mean. But you people are frustrating. Why don't you just agree to not pray in public school and we won't come to your church and think.

Evolution is a continual process, but is not what you think it is. Species change does not occur in the population at large, although mutations are constantly occurring. Speciation occurs in small island populations (not necessarily "islands" per se, but in smal isolated pockets). 90% of speciation is not really visible, so we don't know what changes are occuring on the hormonal level. The most important genetic event for modern humans occurred in a small population in Africa about 100,000 years ago. That is when a couple of small changes in brain structure and laryngeal structure opened the way for language to evolve. Once language developed the whole world of culture, religion, and art exploded. Nothing was visible, but it made a huge difference
BTW, I am a Christian, too, and I believe in Jesus Christ, not in "creation". Evolution doesn't require "belief", it's not a religious system. Christ requires belief in his atoning blood, not in a creation myth. Nowhere did Jesus say, "Believe in me and Creation". Just food for thought.

Did you ever think of how we are now able to advance into a new sort of relationship with God and one another? It may not be evolution like a new kind of toe, but it is something new on earth. We are not naturally a peaceful lot.
Best wishes,

As long as the human race is evolving emotionally, I'll be happy. If we could all just be at peace with one another regardless of our differences I would consider that our greatest accomplishment. I believe in evolution and I completely respect your right not to. Peace from frogspeaceflower.

New species of animals are being found every day. Does God keep creating new species because he is not done with creation yet?
Not everything that dies, leaves behind a fossil record. Fossils are created under unique circumstances. Where's the fossil record of Adam & Eve, or Jesus?

um people are stupid and don't understand how evolution works. death has to occur for evolution to happen with the creation of technology evolution is halted. our status in technology keeps us from evolving further.

So our just stating a comment, that's fine. It is your right to believe in the fairy tale of creation if you choose to.
Just because creation is stated in the bible and that is the only source of where we came from is nothing more than circular reasoning
