Religion is a set dogma; sets of rules and behaviors. Spirituality is what you feel without being told and without having to belong to something in particular.

Yes there is. Religion for the most part is a cult in a large sense of the term. Spirituality is a deeper understanding of something larger than ourselves. A lot of people also bring faith into the equation as being part of a religion. Faith like spirituality is a deeper understanding of something larger than ourselves and believing in it with the sense that things will be all right and that things happen for a reason. You do not need a religion to be spiritual or to have faith neither do you need spirituality or faith to be religious. and vice versa.

I think a religion is a communal belief system that's organized and contains a central code that's either oral or written; whereas, spirituality is an individual belief in something apart (a consciousness, soul, spirit, higher personal power, etc.) from the general state of being human.

The two things tend to be intertwined, but they're not identical. Spirituality would be one's "spiritual identity" whereas religion is a collection of beliefs or a belief system. The latter implies something along the lines of rules, guidelines, ecetera, whereas spiritual is more of a raw unguided exploration of the metaphyiscal.

Your spirituality involves your relationship with God and your way of looking at things. Are you more interested in physical things or in spiritual things? Your religion is what you believe and how you put those things into practice. Hopefully, the two things harmonize and you act in a way that is not hypocritical.

I think religion has an organization to it. Whereas spirituality isn't necessarily so. That's not to say either is more logical than the other.

Religion is following already set up system of spiritual beliefs.
Spiritualism is the search for one's own spiritual truths.
I would recommend to follow spiritualism in search for your own truth about God and joy, wealth, health, relationships etc...

Religion is participating in church/synagogue or mosque activities and services. It is professing belief in certain tenets of that particular sect.
Spirituality is within. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ where you know without a doubt He is always with you and there for you. It is seeing God in all of nature and all that he has created. It is loving all creatures because he made them, it is loving all people because he loves us all, it is forgiving others and we do not want to hurt others because it grieves the Holy Spirit living within us. It is being in love with Him and wanting to serve Him in all we think or do.

religion, by definition, involves belief in a diety; worship of a deity. Spirituality does not (necessarily) have anything to do with religion... it has to do with self-realization.
