Steven Seagal

Steven Seagal is a complete jackass due to all of his retarded movies he has chosen to make. Vandamme is a complete jackass because of his addictions and horrible movies he has chosen to make. However, of the two, Seagal is a real martial artist, practicing his own hard style of Aikido. Seagal would rip Vandamme's limbs off and eat him slowly day by day, freezing the leftovers for later.

Well between the two I believe Seagal would actually win a fight. They are both fairly accomplished in the Martial arts world but Segals style is a little bit freer to do things that actually "win" in a no-hold barred fight (of course if it was a kick boxing match with KB rules then VD would probably win) there are better martial artists than both of them ( most of the Gracies for instance) and alot of it depends on the Rules of the combat or what the person means by Martial Arts (Performance or actual world fights?) I think as far as pure entertainment Martial Arts Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee take the prize. Pure Pound for Pound Fighter I would say Matt Hughes

Are those my only choices?
I don't care for either of them. They are both Hollywood martial artist who make BAD movies.
If I had to pick, I would say VanDamme, just because hes in fighting condition and Seagal has gotten too weird over the years.
I think the best martial artists who are actors are Chuck Norris and Jet Lee.

Seagal, hands down. He is a much more accomplished martial artist. Others that are very good are Jet Li and Wesley Snipes (he actually is a 4th degree black belt), and, of course, Jackie Chan (comic, or not, he is a GREAT martial artist) and Chuck Norris. The master, though, has got to be Bruce Lee ( and his late son Brandon was definitely NO slouch, either).

Segal.... He actually opened and taught Aikido at a school in Japan personally at one point before one of his students took over. He is recognized as "Shihan" Seagal there and has respect! Van Damme on the other hand was a part time student of Chuck Norris for a short time, and does not hold a respectable title such as Steven Segal does.

I pick Steven Seagal over VanDamme, considering he is a teacher, and i seen him in action teaching his students... Akido Master... although Jean claude is great, karate i think is a more common martial arts, therefore more predictable...
