My sister just got married in March, and one of the things I got her was address labels with their new names and address - Mr. & Mrs. blah blah blah...She loved them, and several people commented that it was a neat idea. I also got her a silver compact engraved with her new monogram - that's something she can always have and keep, and remember all of it. To me, I think that a gift from someone that close to you should be more personal than a registry gift, and you can find something in any price range. A picture frame engraved with "Mr. and Mrs. John B. Smith, July 31, 2006" would be nice, or a set of glasses with their new monogram. If you want to get something just for your sister, a spa day for the two of you to spend together would be wonderful, and with your budget, you can really do several things - something for them as a couple as well as something just for your sister. Or if you know there's something off of her registry that she really, really wants, get it and build from there - for example, if she really wants a stand mixer, get that and do a basket with cake pans, cookie cutters, a cookbook especially of desserts, cookie sheets, etc.

I made my sister a memory book. I went to ophotos.com it was so easy all I had to do was scan in the pics and picked a background and they did all the work. It is a really cool gift because you can even select poems and write whatever you want. Plus you don't have to cut, paste, and get all messy. Check it out! It cost around 50 bucks depending on how many pages you need.

I myself am 19 and the best thing I could ever get is a spa getaway or something like that to share with my husband. That is my opinion, but you will definately have to make it fit with their interests. If they like sports you can get them tickets to a Major League Baseball game. I know many people think they have to get something in a big box inorder to be noticed and appreciated. Seriously, how many appliances does one couple really need? I hope this was helpful! Best of luck to you and your sister!

Make her a bracelet and earrings. Go to Michael's and get the stuff. It's actually quite easy (plus, you can find kits that have everything you need).
