You should move to a bigger town, like NYC or something.

I am surprised that in a country with the ethnic and religious mixture found in North America and parts of Europe, the conduct you describe would happen. I have never heard of it happening where I live, but I do not live in a small town. Small towns, I guess are a bit more homogeneous and therefore potentially xenophobic. I actually do not know of any Christian churches that would encourage it. Maybe some very conservative and fundamentalist religious organizations would do so, however. It is hard to know what people do in private or what kinds of attitudes their families are instilling in them. I used to hear a fair number of Jewish jokes, some of which were funny and others of which were hurtful sounding. However, other ethnic groups got hit a lot harder than the Jewish when it came to racist or ethnic jokes.
Christian churches have a lot of different denominations that focus on different issues and doctrine. I do not live in a Bible Belt, and I hope and suspect that preachers like Jerry Falwell and that guy who is seen around George W. Bush a lot, have kind of turned people off of this type of neurotic behaviour, and judgement and condemnation.

Sorry that you have to put up with that. It's not right. But it's all too typical of small town behavior. It could be any religion or any race that can get that way. It's just plain old human insecurity.
Whether you realize it or not, you bring variety and life into their homogeneic world of heterophobia. You actually bring some spice, variety and a challenge to their boring little lives.
And, depending on how small the town is, I think if you'll look close enough, you'll find some good people there who love others for who they are.
Small towns have their backwards attitudes. But there are also many benefits to living in a small town.
Shalom, dear friend

I am sorry to hear that. They aren't really Christian then. I know some Christians believe it's ok to be antisemitic because of Jesus' crucifixion that was put into motion by the Jewish Pharisees. But that was 2000 years ago. And if you are a Christian and truly believe in the Bible then you believe Jews are God's chosen people. Those Christians need to watch out. God will get them. And Jesus was a Jew. So anyway they do because they are ignorant, even of their own faith.

As a Catholic, two of the most important persons in my life are Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Both were Jews.
This is the reason why those who believe in Jesus Christ and those who love Mother Mary should love and pray for the Jews. This is the reason why I have so much respect and love for my Jewish brothers.
This is the Christian way, and seeing someone different is not an excuse for Christians or anyone to exploit and abuse other people.
I care for you and will pray for you as a tragic victim of injustice.

Wether you are Christian or not, it is ALWAYS unGodly to abuse a fellow sister or brother in any way. "Treat people as if they were your siblings" did Jesus not say that or something similar to that?
They are probably miserable on the inside and they hurt you because their life isn't perfect with all their faith for Jesus. Any kind of aggression against anyone tells a lot about that person. They're more miserable than you are. They are jealous of you, probably, and jealousy is unGodly, always.
No one is more special than anyone. Christians are not better or worse than Jews or Muslims. We are all equal. They judge you meaning it tells a lot about themselves.
Yet I tell you this- Unfortunately true God never judges and gets those bad people and rewards those good. Yet those people who hurt you, they are probably more miserable on the inside. Their actions reveal the truth that is on their inside.

Possibly just because you are different.
Fear of the unknown, and all that.
It is an immature Christian that would beat up anyone. I would question their Christianity at it's foundation.
True Christians believe that they are grafted into the family of Jews, and therefore the promises given to Abraham.

Are you talking about kids? If so, it probably has not much to do with religion really, but just that kids like to pick on others who are different. It somehow makes them think they "belong". Most of them probably don't even know what their religion is about anyway.
Anyway, regardless of the reasons, if someone is beating you up you should tell someone in authority about it. It's not acceptable any way you look at it.

No, there's no differences between Jewish and Christians because Jesus came in this world to save the sinners and we are all sinners. And Jesus also said be happy when people hates you because of me.
