I got married in a church, but I recommend a courthouse because it's cheaper.

Neither. The first time I got married in a judge's house in Hawaii.
The second and last time I got married in a chapel in New Orleans.
Although I had gone to church all my life, I just didn't want a big church wedding with all the expense and stress.

Church, my husband went to Catholic school for 12 years, he said he wouldn't feel married unless it was in the church. I didn't care, so we got married in the church. Haven't been back since, except for other weddings.

My wife and I got married in a gazebo on the beach in Negril, Jamaica. We were married by a Methodist minister, but only because there were no non-religious options.
