actually i have heard sometime about this, my parents own rent houses and i know that the tenets have to pay extra if the have a pitbull or other "unsafe" breeds for insurance purpose

Most insurance companies won't cover you if you have a pitbull (it's classified as a "dangerous animal", as opposed to a regular dog). I have heard State Farm will.

The liability inusurance for your home/apt for stolen items, property damage, or if a persons injured on your property, should be sufficient for a specific dog.

None that I have heard of. Good luck looking. Some make you get a statement from your vet if you say it is a boxer, or something else.

there are a few...i know that USAA does but u have to be in the military to use that...so if u are there u go....Its hard to find them my aunt and uncle had to make a buliding and fenced area at there rental property for their pit b/c they couldn't have her at their new house the insurance wouldn't allow it.
