I'm good friends with this guy who has just gotten out of a serious relationship. We have a lot of fun when we are in a group with other people, but once we get alone together we tend to become a bit more serious. Whether we are talking about our personal problems or our opinions on things, we always end up getting very close phsysically.

Here's the problem: he never makes the first move and he's never kissed me, though I have given him plenty of opportunities. So how can I tell if he actually likes me more than a friend or if he is just missing the intamacy of being in a relationship?

Please don't just tell me to ask him. Obviously if I wanted to do that I would not be online asking thousands of strangers their opinions ;-)

Honey take a break. Dont meet him or contact him .for a short while.Sooner or later when he misses u he will come to u. the sooner he comes u can realize how much he values u in his life.
The only way to measure if the other person misses u is to leave them alone .then when they come back to u its worth it.

Well, I think since he's just gotten out of a serious relationship, what he needs now is a friend. Maybe he's not ready to date yet. You probably have to give him more time. It takes a while for someone to get over a long term companion. I don't think he's just using you just so he could experience intimacy again. I think he's just using you as a real good friend who is helping him get over his recent break up. I think you should just try to be patient with him; give him time. What's the point of rushing? Why does the kiss have to come so soon? You want him to kiss you when he's comfortable and completely over the last girlfriend. If he was really ready to become more than just friends with you, he would've made the move already. Since I don't know him and since I never saw the two of you together, I honestly don't know if he likes you just as a friend or more. All I could say is that he realy likes you. Why else would he pick you out of a group of friends to talk to and be close with? I would say just wait. Until then, just be friends with him, maybe be a shoulder to cry on, and eventually in time, you two will get closer and closer and he will be ready to express his true feelings for you the way you wanted.
